About Us
Islamic World Summit
From Dialogue to Action. From Action to Impact.
The Islamic World Summit is a global platform dedicated to strengthening cooperation, partnership and collective action across the Muslim world and with international partners.
The Summit brings together governments, international institutions, businesses, investors, scholars, development organisations, academia, youth, women leaders and civil society to address shared challenges and transform opportunities into practical initiatives.
Our purpose is not simply to convene dialogue, but to create a structured pathway from ideas and commitments to implementation, investment and measurable impact.
Our Vision
To contribute to a more connected, prosperous, inclusive, sustainable and resilient Islamic world, built through cooperation, innovation, shared knowledge and responsible investment.
We envision an ecosystem where the strengths of Muslim-majority countries, Muslim communities and global partners are connected to address common challenges and create opportunities for future generations.
Our Mission
The Islamic World Summit seeks to:
Facilitate strategic dialogue and cooperation across the Islamic world.
Translate shared priorities into practical programmes, partnerships and projects.
Connect governments and institutions with investors, businesses, experts and development partners.
Strengthen cooperation in areas including economic development, trade, finance, food, water, energy, healthcare, technology, AI, youth, women and sustainability.
Mobilise Islamic social finance, waqf, investment and development resources for priority initiatives.
Create platforms for knowledge exchange, innovation and capacity building.
Establish mechanisms for ongoing implementation, accountability and collaboration beyond the Summit.
From Summit to Implementation
The Islamic World Summit is designed as more than an annual gathering.
The Summit creates a framework through which priorities identified through dialogue can move into implementation ecosystems.
The Islamic World Action Agenda 2035 provides the overarching long-term framework, while specialised initiatives and cooperation platforms provide pathways for implementation.
The Summit's approach is built around:
Identify → Connect → Develop → Mobilise → Implement → Measure
This enables stakeholders to move from identifying challenges and opportunities to developing projects, forming partnerships, mobilising resources and tracking progress.
Eight Strategic Outcomes
The Summit is advancing a number of strategic outcomes designed to provide practical platforms for continued cooperation:
1. Islamic World Action Agenda 2035
A long-term framework organised around governance, economic development, human capital, technology and sustainability, providing priorities, actions, targets and an accountability mechanism towards 2035.
2. ASEAN–Muslim World Cooperation Framework
A framework for strengthening cooperation between ASEAN and the Muslim world through trade, investment, Halal economy, digital economy, infrastructure, knowledge, skills and cultural cooperation.
3. Food, Water & Energy Security Council
A platform addressing the interconnected challenges of food, water and energy security through investment, technology deployment, infrastructure, Islamic social finance and cross-border cooperation.
4. Islamic AI Ethics Council
A platform focused on responsible AI development, including ethical governance, transparency, data responsibility, human oversight, Islamic perspectives on technology and the development of an Islamic AI Ethics Charter.
5. Youth Leadership Council
A platform for developing the next generation of leaders through leadership development, mentorship, international exposure, entrepreneurship, education and meaningful participation in decision-making.
6. Women Empowerment Assembly
A platform advancing women's economic participation, entrepreneurship, education, leadership, access to Islamic finance and institutional representation.
7. World Healing Alliance
A global cooperation platform focused on healthcare access, healthcare infrastructure, medical cooperation, workforce development, essential medicines and innovative healthcare waqf initiatives.
8. Sustainability Alliance
A platform supporting climate adaptation, renewable energy, sustainable development, green waqf, sustainable Halal standards and improved access to climate finance.
A Continuing Platform for Cooperation
The work does not end when the Summit concludes.
Weekly Implementation Roundtables provide a continuing mechanism for stakeholders to engage with each strategic outcome, identify priorities, develop partnerships and advance concrete initiatives.
These roundtables are intended to bring together the people and institutions capable of contributing to implementation — from policymakers and international organisations to investors, businesses, academics, experts, youth and civil society.
Participants can engage according to their expertise, interests, resources and capacity to contribute.
Our Approach
Collaboration
We bring diverse stakeholders together around shared priorities and common objectives.
Implementation
We focus on translating dialogue into initiatives, projects, partnerships and measurable actions.
Investment
We seek to connect priority development needs with appropriate sources of public, private, philanthropic and Islamic finance.
Innovation
We encourage technology, entrepreneurship, knowledge and new models of cooperation to address emerging challenges.
Inclusion
We recognise the importance of youth, women, communities, academia, entrepreneurs and civil society in shaping the future.
Accountability
We support clear priorities, defined responsibilities, measurable targets and continued review of progress.
A Shared Future
The challenges facing the Islamic world are interconnected. Food security is connected to water and energy. Economic development is connected to trade, finance and human capital. Technology is connected to ethics and governance. Healthcare is connected to social development. Sustainability is connected to investment and long-term resilience.
The Islamic World Summit therefore seeks to foster integrated cooperation rather than isolated initiatives.
Our ambition is to help create stronger connections between ideas, institutions, capital, technology, people and opportunities — enabling collective priorities to become practical outcomes.
